HLS - HTTP Streaming is a open streaming standard, developed by Apple for iOS. HLS allows to stream videos in different qualities without having an streaming server installed. HTTP Live Streaming is an HTTP-based media streaming communications protocol implemented by Apple Inc. as part of their QuickTime and iPhone software systems. The protocol is in the first stage of being submitted to the IETF as a proposed Internet Standard.

This demo demonstrate a video HLS Playback in flash from our standard webserver. No Flash Streaming Server like Adobe or Wowza Streaming server is required. No installation of addtional webserver modules are required. This video plays on any webserver like Apache, IIS, Nginx or LightHTTP, Amazon EC2 or Amazon S3 and Cloudfront without any installations. We give this Mediaplayback to all HLS Customers as free ready-to-go solution that allows you to stream HLS Videos without the need for any programming. You can run the Strobe Mediaplayback Solutions on one domain of your choice. We also ship Javascript fallbacks for iOS and Android HLS Playback.

We are now able to mix video chunks with audio chunks in realtime. The video fragments have no audio fragments and we are now able to load this chunks from any webserver or storage over HTTP. OSMF 2.0 and Native Playback for HLS (included)
With the HLS SDK we ship Player examples that are ready to go and easy to intregrate for developers. In less then 150 lines of code you can load and playback a HLS Stream. The SDK also has a OSMF 2.0 Plugin that you can load in existing OSMF 2.0 applications. You only have to brand our source examples and you can run the sources on any plattform.
